Owen: I’m sorry to hear that happened; that’s definitely not the case for most people! Please provide more details to our tech support team, so we can try to figure out what happened. Your data might still be fully recoverable, either from an iPhone backup or from the sync database on the server (which keeps change logs).

This is ridiculous—the syncing with the laptop version overwrote my iPhone database, and I can’t recover it. Terrible programming, thanks guys, for nothing.

It would be nice if the iPhone version allowed self-signed SSL certificates for the WebDav share. Currently it displays a message, “untrusted server certificate”, then the import quits. I don’t want to have to pay a yearly fee for a 3rd party SSL signature just to sync my phone, and I’d rather not send everything in the clear…

Actually, a sync over the cable, throught iTune would also be OK. I mean, that would centralize the syncing. Thanks.

Oh yes, I do need a wifi sync. I’ve been using .Mac for years but I’m tossing Mobile Me because it doesn’t give such an improvement. But then, I’m loosing OF syncing. Wifi, please…

I’ve been using OmniFocus for several months now, and the only reason I’m still looking around for other solutions (but not really finding them…) is that I have to use a PC at work, and it’s too much of a hassle to take my iBook to work everyday just to have OmniFocus access. A webapplication in combination with the current application on my iMac or iBook for at home or on the road would be the perfect solution for me!

I would like to see WiFi sync for the iPhone. I don’t require “in the cloud” webdav or mobileme sync, i just want to be able to sync with my iMac at home

I’m going to throw my support behind a webapp as well. In addition to adding support for PCs, I think it would also help with some of the syncing issues. At present, I’m still having a of trouble getting my home computer, work computer, and iphone to stay in sync.

Even better, it would be great if the desktop version of omnifocus was really just a front end for the data that is stored in the cloud, so that there is only 1 copy of the database at all time, and no syncing would be required.
