I am a paid user of OmniFocus for the Mac, and added OmniFocus for the iPhone shortly after the app store launched.

I had been using OmniFocus on only a basic level, not really getting the most out of it. But adding the iPhone to the mix has tied everything together, and now I'm getting much, much more out of the software on both devices.

To me, the $20 price of the iPhone app is a hell of a deal. I'd have paid $30 without question and $40 without complaint.

My only suggestion to the iPhone version at this point was mentioned by Steve on July 15th:

"1. When I have an action, and I want to now link it to a project, the keyboard pops up, blocking most of the screen, making it difficult to select from my already established project names. It SHOULD NOT pop up unless i tap in the top text entry area, as in every other iphone application."

But that is a minor concern, and everything in the app feels rock solid and works great for me!

ok, check this out ... in near real time, I sent emails from my iPhone to my desktop (with a -- in the subject line), that trigged a script for OF to grab the email and make it into an action. Next time I loaded OF on my iPhone, the email/action was there waiting for me. Nice.

My first time using omnifocus - just bought it for my iphone, as task management is essential to me, and I’ve been waiting for a decent iphone app to come along.

It looks very good, but two things are missing for me….

1) Omnifocus needs to synch/integrate with my Windows Outlook

2) The ability to add Start and Due dates and add a Time reminder seems useless unless it also gives an audible/visual alert (like a calender appointment does) - this is important!

Keep up the good work....

Ok,

I just synced desktop > laptop > iPhone and back. That's worth $19.00 alone. If there's another app that does that, I don't know what and presume it's not free.

Also,

While the gtd connection is there, I don't use OF for that at all. It's a thought collector/distributor for me and running my business. Find an interesting URL, send it to OF with OSX services. An email to act on, same thing. The marketing of OF as a GTD app, sure, but there's a lot more it does and can do; especially with a shared, synced DB.

Would be fabulous if your visitors via iPhone & Touch could view a compatible video. Just a thought

the problem with the app store is no preview or refunds. So if I'm scanning comments here, a bit concerned, and want to try I'm spending 20.00 regardless. That's my issue and something OO can't help me with.

@neversaynever - I said it wasn't mentioned in the comments or post announcing the product, not the forums. Ken has already explained that price was discussed in the forums, which I did not read prior to the launch.

Aaaanyway, I'm liking OF for iPhone so far (the latest update solved the crashing problem), but still finding the load time a bit much.

I'm confident, though, that things will only get better with each new update. Keep up the good work!

@Carol - I agree - it should certainly be included in the family pack license.

I think the point that us "whiners" are trying to make is that it would have been nice if the iPhone was considered a device under the family license. We own family packs of both OmniFocus and OmniWeb, and we were happy to pay for both of them, but this quite frankly feels like a slap in the face. Especially when one looks at the developers of 1Password, who made their app free for a short time so their *loyal customers* could get it. I'm not saying OmniFocus for iPhone should be free, but I most certainly do think the iPhone should be included as a device in a family pack license. And the fact that is isn't has left a bad taste in this customer's mouth. If that's whining, then so be it.

I just purchased Omnifocus for my iPhone but don't have a mac to sync it with. Are you planning on designing a desktop application for Windows Vista?
