OmniWeb 5.7 now available!

We’re happy to announce the final release for OmniWeb 5.7. If you have not been following our beta releases there are a number of updates to the interface and underlying engine, you can find a complete list of what’s new on our downloads page. We recommend this release for all users as it improves site compatibility and stability in many areas. Enjoy!
OmniWeb 5.7 is a free update to registered users of OmniWeb 5.
Am I reading the site correctly? There is no cost in going from version 5.6 to 5.7? The right sidebar implies the minimum upgrade price is $4.95, which is actually from version 4 to 5.

That is correct, I updated the main blog post as well. Sorry for the confusion.

I was using 5.6 (non-beta) and the “Check for Updates…” did not tell me about this update/release.
Fortunately a friend told me about it and I then did a manual update

The updater problem should be fixed now, sorry about that.

I’m liking the toolbar icon changes, nice work

Congrats! The new 5.7 solves many problems and makes OmniWeb work more consistently across a variety of sites. And I like the new icons also
I understand there’s a beta version of OmniWeb that includes fixes similar to WebKit 3.1.1. Where do I go to download it and try it out?

We haven’t announced any betas that have that version of WebKit yet. But when it’s ready we’ll post to our blog here.

Any chance that we’ll get a Safari 3-styled find in page? Its really really hard to go back from that. Now that I figured out how to block flash in OmniWeb I’m so close to getting a license but some things are really hard to go without now.
